The Garden of Gethsemane
Jerusalem · Mount of Olives
Matthew 26:36–44
"And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."

The Sea of Galilee
Galilee Region
Matthew 14:25–31
"And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled..."

Masada
Dead Sea Region · Judean Desert
Psalm 18:2
"The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."

Herod built his mountain fortress as a refuge from enemies. But Masada teaches a different lesson — that human fortresses ultimately fall. Our only unassailable refuge is the LORD himself. Standing on the summit at sunrise makes this truth unavoidable.
